So much news!
Jack is 2!! And he has a sister! And he's afraid of his Halloween costume! Alot of things change in 9 months.
Jack welcomed his sister, Mae, 2 weeks before his 2nd birthday, on September 24th. To be honest, he didn't take much notice of her at first. Now he says Baby and pets her head, so we are making progress.
He still doesn't talk much--or, more accurately, he talks a lot, but we can't understand most of it!He does make all the requisite boy noises--he can accurately imitate a plane and a car, and he's practicing being a beat box. It involves a lot of spitting, but he's pretty good actually.
And he's turning into an opinionated little person. (And with us as parents, no one is shocked.) He has his favorite TV shows--Yo Gabba Gabba, and Fresh Beat Band. He expects to be able to watch them constantly. He likes to pick out what shirt to wear everyday, and he's turning up his nose at food I know he likes! He also knows that saying please will get him almost anything he wants.
He had a great time at his birthday--it was the first year that he really understood presents. One of his favorite presents so far is a drum--thanks a lot grandma!
He's getting really big too--he's about as tall as a 3 year old. And next to tiny Mae, he looks gigantic!

More Pictures...
Wow--time for an update!
Well first of all, Jack finally decided to start walking a week before Christmas. He's trying to run now, and climb all over everything--whch means lots of falling, and lots of holding ice on the latest bump.
He's saying a few words too-- Dada, ball, apple. Notice that Mama was not on that list? Soon I'm going to try bribing him with a cookie! And he's very very smart--when we were looking a new book the other day, there was a picture of a dog--a dalmation-- on one page. When he saw it, he smiled and pointed to our little dogs Seamus and Fergus. Right, I said--those are all dogs!
I have christmas pictures somewhere, but right now, I can only find the Halloween pictures. He was dressed as a wolf, but didn't get to actually go out trick or treating as planned, because he had the CHICKEN POX! He was a trouper, actually.
